The Thornwood Thunderbirds basketball squad (South Holland, IL), was nudged 61-57 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL)

With the victory, Rich Township advances its record to 15-6 on the year. The Raptors travel to Thornridge (Dolton, IL) to meet the Falcons in a Southland battle on Friday, January 31. The Falcons enter the battle with a record of 5-15. Thornridge won 74-38 in their recent non-league battle against Corliss (Chicago, IL)

The Thunderbirds now own a 10-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kankakee for a Southland battle on Friday, January 31. Thornwood will meet a Kays squad coming off a 55-52 league win over Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Kays record now stands at 18-3.
