Illinois High School Basketball - Reed-Custer overwhelms Gardner-South Wilmington

November 27, 2024: Braidwood, IL 60408

The Reed-Custer Comets basketball team scored 47 points and limited the visiting Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers to 22 in the Comets non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Comets now have a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Wilmington for a Illinois Central 8 game on Monday, December 2. Reed-Custer will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 49-15 non-league win over Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Gardner-South Wilmington falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Tri-Point (Cullom, IL) to confront the Chargers in a River Valley game on Monday, December 2. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 2-4. Tri-Point lost 51-36 in their recent non-league game against Watseka (Watseka, IL)
