The Cannon Cougars basketball team scored 88 points and restricted the visiting Mallard Creek Mavericks to 58 in the Cougars non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Anne's-Belfield for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Cannon will battle a Saints team coming off a 76-49 non-league win over Virginia Academy (Ashburn, VA). The Saints record now stands at 1-0.

The Mavericks (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, East Forsyth was routed by Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 73-67, in a non-league contest.
