The Providence Day Chargers basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Cannon Cougars to 57 in the Chargers league triumph on Friday.
The Chargers now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charlotte Country Day School for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent contest on Tuesday, January 23. Providence Day will meet a Buccaneers team coming off a 63-37 league loss to Covenant Day (Matthews, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 16-6.
The Cougars (19-7) will now prepare for their contest against Charlotte Latin (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks enter the NCISAA Charlotte Independent contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Charlotte Latin ran past Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC), 52-46, in a league contest.
