January 10, 2024: Concord, NC 28027 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC) and the visiting Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC), saw Cannon's basketball squad overcome Covenant Day by a tally of 73-63.
With the victory, Cannon improves its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC) to confront the Buccaneers in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent challenge on Friday, January 12. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a record of 15-4. Charlotte Country Day School won 63-60 in their recent league challenge against Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC)
Next up, the Lions confront the Charlotte Latin Hawks (Charlotte, NC) in a NCISAA Charlotte Independent challenge, on Friday, January 12. Covenant Day will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 50-40 league loss to Providence Day (Charlotte, NC).
