The Carmel Christian Cougars basketball team (Matthews, NC), was nudged 59-57 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC)

The Lions now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to United Faith Christian Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, December 15.

The Cougars (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Moravian Prep (Hudson, NC). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 11-0 record. In their last battle, Moravian Prep edged St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA), 92-70, in a non-league battle.
