North Carolina High School Basketball - Rabun Gap-Nacoochee topped by Covenant Day

January 27, 2024: Matthews, NC 28105

The Covenant Day Lions basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles to 43 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charlotte Latin for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent contest on Tuesday, January 30. Covenant Day will battle a Hawks team coming off a 45-33 league loss to Providence Day (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 11-10.

The Eagles (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Christ School (Arden, NC). The Greenies come into the NCISAA Carolinas contest with a 20-5 record. In their last contest, Christ School prevailed over Durham Academy (Durham, NC), 101-65, in a non-league contest.
