In Friday's non-league match, the host Covenant Day Lions basketball team scored a tight 42-40 triumph over the Cary Academy Chargers.

In their next game, the Lions meet the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles (West Columbia, SC) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 2. Covenant Day will attempt to better on its 3-3 season record. The War Eagles enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 59-42 non-league loss to Hoover (Hoover, AL).

With the defeat, Cary Academy moves to 3-2 on the year. The Chargers travel to Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Saturday, December 2.
