November 28, 2023: Effingham, IL 62401 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Casey-Westfield Warriors (Casey, IL) and the host Effingham Flaming Hearts (Effingham, IL), saw Casey-Westfield's basketball squad wallop Effingham by a count of 59-31.
With the victory, Casey-Westfield upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Cumberland (Toledo, IL) to play the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Cumberland lost 54-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Altamont (Altamont, IL)
Next up, the Flaming Hearts play the Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL) in a Apollo challenge, on Thursday, November 30. Effingham will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 48-32 non-league loss to Williamsville (Williamsville, IL).
