Illinois High School Basketball - St. Anthony tops Effingham
November 24, 2023: Effingham, IL 62401 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Anthony Bulldogs (Effingham, IL) and the visiting Effingham Flaming Hearts (Effingham, IL), saw St. Anthony's basketball squad knock off Effingham by a count of 61-43.
With the victory, St. Anthony upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Champaign Central (Champaign, IL) to play the Maroons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 25. The Maroons come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Champaign Central won 79-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Mattoon (Mattoon, IL)
Next up, the Flaming Hearts play the Casey-Westfield Warriors (Casey, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 28. Effingham will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 51-47 non-league loss to Newton (Newton, IL).
