The Parkers Prairie Panthers basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Bertha-Hewitt Bears to 37 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Verndale for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Parkers Prairie will battle a Pirates team coming off a 57-53 league loss to Swanville (Swanville, MN). The Pirates record now stands at 1-1.

The Bears (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Browerville (Browerville, MN). The Tigers enter the A Section 5 contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Browerville was nudged by Staples-Motley (Staples, MN), 58-48, in a non-league contest.
