November 28, 2023: Kirkland, IL 60146 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL) and the host Hiawatha Hawks (Kirkland, IL), saw South Beloit's basketball squad overcome Hiawatha by a tally of 34-23.
With the victory, South Beloit improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Sobos travel to Alden-Hebron (Hebron, IL) to confront the Green Giants in a Northeastern challenge on Thursday, November 30. The Green Giants come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Alden-Hebron won 45-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Earlville (Earlville, IL)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Illinois Math & Science Academy Titans (Aurora, IL) in a Little Ten challenge, on Thursday, November 30. Hiawatha will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 48-32 non-league loss to Rockford East (Rockford, IL).
