Illinois High School Basketball - Loyola Academy holds off Providence Catholic
November 28, 2023: New Lenox, IL 60451 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL) and the host Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL), saw Loyola Academy's basketball squad hold off Providence Catholic by a tally of 52-45.
With the victory, Loyola Academy improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Ramblers host Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL) to confront the Broncos in a Girls Catholic - Red challenge on Friday, December 1. The Broncos come into the challenge with a record of 6-0. Montini Catholic won 58-46 in their recent league challenge against DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL)
Next up, the Celtics confront the Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, November 30. Providence Catholic will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 40-32 non-league win over Lincoln-Way West (New Lenox, IL).
