North Carolina High School Basketball - Freedom crushes Draughn
November 28, 2023: Valdese, NC 28690 Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), 69-24 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Freedom upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Patriots host Hickory (Hickory, NC) to play the Red Tornadoes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Red Tornadoes go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Hickory lost 48-40 in their recent non-league bout against Newton-Conover (Newton, NC)
Next up, the Wildcats play the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 1. Draughn will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 50-42 non-league loss to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC).
