November 28, 2023: Wilkesboro, NC 28697 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC) and the host Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), saw West Iredell's basketball squad hold off Wilkes Central by a count of 51-48.
With the victory, West Iredell upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host South Iredell (Statesville, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 1. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. South Iredell won 58-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Bandys (Catawba, NC)
Next up, the Eagles play the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 1. Wilkes Central will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 52-36 non-league win over West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC).
