Lorenzo Hornets (Lorenzo, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX), 52-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lorenzo upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Hornets host Hale Center (Hale Center, TX) to play the Owls in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Owls come into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Lions play the Reagan County Owls (Big Lake, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 1. New Deal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Owls come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 51-47 non-league win over Wall (Wall, TX).
