Texas High School Basketball - New Deal overwhelms Smyer
January 17, 2023: New Deal, TX 79350 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX) and the visiting Smyer Bobcats (Smyer, TX), saw New Deal's basketball squad wallop Smyer by a tally of 79-57.
With the victory, New Deal improves its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Lockney (Lockney, TX) to play the Longhorns in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 10-10. Lockney won 63-60 in their recent league challenge against Sudan (Sudan, TX)
Next up, the Bobcats play the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Smyer will attempt to improve on its 5-18 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 17-4 record after their 81-36 league win over Ralls (Ralls, TX).
