Virginia High School Basketball - Patrick County nips Staunton River
November 30, 2022: Moneta, VA 24121 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) and the host Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), saw Patrick County's basketball squad hold off Staunton River by a tally of 56-54.
With the victory, Patrick County improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to North Stokes (Danbury, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 2. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. North Stokes won 61-50 in their recent non-league challenge against West Stokes (King, NC)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 22. Staunton River will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record.
