Mississippi High School Basketball - North Delta holds off DeSoto
November 30, 2023: Batesville, MS 38606 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Delta Green Wave (Batesville, MS) and the visiting DeSoto Thunderbirds (West Helena, AR), saw North Delta's basketball squad hold off DeSoto by a tally of 48-44.
With the victory, North Delta improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Green Wave travel to Lee Academy (Marianna, AR) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Lee Academy lost 67-40 in their recent non-league challenge against North Delta (Batesville, MS)
Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Calhoun Academy Cougars (Calhoun City, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 4. DeSoto will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
