The Independence Patriots basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was nudged 56-54 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC)

The Sabres now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Olympic for a 4A South Meck battle on Friday, December 8. South Mecklenburg will confront a Trojans team coming off a 53-41 non-league loss to Wakefield (Arlington, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 1-5.

The Patriots (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Pirates come into the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Porter Ridge was nudged by Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC), 78-58, in a non-league battle.
