The Lafayette Commodores basketball team (Oxford, MS), was toppled 56-45 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS)

The Cougars now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Choctaw Central for a non-league battle on Saturday, December 2.

The Commodores (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Ingomar (New Albany, MS). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, Ingomar beat Myrtle (Myrtle, MS), 72-31, in a non-league battle.
