Illinois High School Basketball - Lawrenceville holds off Red Hill
November 30, 2023: Lawrenceville, IL 62439 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Lawrenceville Indians (Lawrenceville, IL) and the visiting Red Hill Salukis (Bridgeport, IL), saw Lawrenceville's basketball squad hold off Red Hill by a tally of 49-44.
With the victory, Lawrenceville improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Mt. Carmel (Mt. Carmel, IL) to confront the Golden Aces in a Little Illini challenge on Monday, December 4. The Golden Aces come into the challenge with a record of 5-2. Mt. Carmel won 81-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL)
Next up, the Salukis confront the Sandoval Blackhawks (Sandoval, IL) in a challenge, on Saturday, December 2. Red Hill will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Blackhawks come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 0-0 non-league First Baptist Academy (O'Fallon, IL).
