Mississippi High School Soccer - Yazoo County knocks off Canton
November 30, 2023: Yazoo City, MS 39194 Yazoo County Panthers (Yazoo City, MS) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Canton Tigers (Canton, MS), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Panthers confront the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints (Ridgeland, MS) in a Class 1 Region 3 challenge, on Monday, December 4. Yazoo County will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record. The Saints enter the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 4-1 non-league loss to Florence (Florence, MS).
The Tigers now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pelahatchie for a non-league challenge on Monday, December 4. Canton will confront a Chiefs team coming off a 9-0 league win over Hazlehurst (Hazlehurst, MS). The Chiefs record now stands at 4-0.
