November 30, 2023: Ewing, VA 24248 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA) and the host Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA), saw Rural Retreat's basketball squad wallop Thomas Walker by a tally of 50-18.
With the victory, Rural Retreat improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Northwood (Saltville, VA) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 2. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Northwood lost 32-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Virginia High (Bristol, VA)
Next up, the Pioneers confront the Hancock County Indians (Sneedville, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Thomas Walker will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
