November 30, 2024: Dahlonega, GA 30533 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) and the visiting Fannin County Rebels (Blue Ridge, GA), observed Lumpkin County's basketball team overwhelm Fannin County by a score of 63-39.
The Indians (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA). The Spartans come into the AAA Region 6 challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Greater Atlanta Christian was routed by Sequoyah (Canton, GA), 64-62, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Rebels encounter the Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA) in a A D1 Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, December 3. Fannin County will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 80-31 non-league win over Gaylesville (Gaylesville, AL).
