In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Marion Giants basketball team scored a close 69-62 triumph over the New Castle Trojans.

The Giants (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, IN). The Royals go into the non-league contest with a 0-1 record.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Hamilton Heights Huskies (Arcadia, IN) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. New Castle will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record.
