Indiana High School Basketball - New Castle holds off Richmond

In Friday's non-league contest, the host New Castle Trojans basketball team scored a close 57-52 triumph over the Richmond Red Devils.

The Trojans (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Connersville (Connersville, IN). The Spartans go into the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Connersville nipped Oldenburg Academy (Oldenburg, IN), 43-36, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Red Devils confront the Phalen Leadership Academy Falcon (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Richmond will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Falcon go into the contest with a 5-9 record after their 63-46 non-league loss to Centerville (Centerville, IN).
