The New Castle Trojans basketball squad (New Castle, IN), was nudged 58-56 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Jay County Patriots (Portland, IN)

With the victory, Jay County advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Patriots travel to Delta (Muncie, IN) to meet the Eagles in a non-league battle on Friday, December 20. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 4-1. Delta won 48-42 in their recent non-league battle against Tipton (Tipton, IN)

The Trojans now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Palestine for a Hoosier Heritage battle on Friday, December 20. New Castle will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 65-53 non-league win over Zionsville (Zionsville, IN). The Dragons record now stands at 3-1.
