The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Northeastern Knights (Fountain City, IN) and the visiting Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN), observed Northeastern's basketball team edge Monroe Central by a score of 51-49.

The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Centerville (Centerville, IN). The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Centerville edged Eastern Hancock (Charlottesville, IN), 52-35, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Bears encounter the Wes-Del Warriors (Gaston, IN) in a challenge, on Friday, December 13. Monroe Central will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
