Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS) and the visiting Ingomar Falcons (New Albany, MS), saw Pine Grove's basketball squad hold off Ingomar by a tally of 47-44.

With the victory, Pine Grove improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Panthers host Amory (Amory, MS) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, November 5. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Falcons confront the South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 8. Ingomar will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 51-48 non-league win over North Panola (Sardis, MS).
