The Weddington Warriors held off the visiting Independence Patriots soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Monday's non-league match.

The Warriors now sport a 16-3 record. They play next when they travel to Hickory Ridge for a non-league match on Thursday, November 9. Weddington will encounter a Ragin' Bulls squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC). The Ragin' Bulls record now stands at 16-2.

With the loss, Independence drops to 18-5 on the season.
