The Magnolia West Mustangs basketball team scored 34 points and limited the visiting Porter Spartans to 31 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Oak Ridge for a non-league game on Tuesday, November 12. Magnolia West will confront a War Eagles team coming off a 40-38 non-league loss to Clear Brook (Friendswood, TX). The War Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Porter falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Willis (Willis, TX) to confront the Wildkats in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 12.
