The Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS) basketball crushed the host West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS), 59-24 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Red Raiders now hold a 2-0 record. They play next when they host South Pontotoc for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 11. Shannon will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 69-34 non-league win over Saltillo (Saltillo, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 1-1.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 11.
