The Sudan Hornets (Sudan, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX), 43-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Hornets (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Seagraves (Seagraves, TX). The Eagles go into the 2A Region I District 5 test with a 0-1 record.

The Mustangs now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Greenwood for a non-league test on Saturday, November 13.
