The Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) basketball crushed the host Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX), 52-24 in Friday's league test.

The Mustangs (22-3) will now prepare for their test against Klondike (Lamesa, TX). The Cougars go into the 1A Region I District 8 test with a 22-5 record. In their last test, Klondike walloped Grady (Lenorah, TX), 40-28, in a league test.

The Coyotes now own a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to Grady for a 1A Region I District 8 test on Friday, January 21.
