Illinois High School Basketball - Coal City tops Lisle

Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lisle Lions (Lisle, IL), 49-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Coal City upgrades its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Coalers travel to Peotone (Peotone, IL) to play the Blue Devils in a Illinois Central 8 bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 0-6. Peotone lost 54-44 in their recent league bout against Manteno (Manteno, IL)

Next up, the Lions play the Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Lisle will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Norsemen come into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 65-32 league loss to Serena (Serena, IL).
