Gothenburg Swedes (Gothenburg, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hershey Panthers (Hershey, NE), 73-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Gothenburg upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Swedes host Southern Valley (Oxford, NE) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Panthers play the Cozad Haymakers (Cozad, NE) in a C1 District 11 bout, on Friday, December 8. Hershey will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Haymakers go into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 41-37 non-league win over Maxwell (Maxwell, NE).
