Winters Blizzards (Winters, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Blackwell Hornets (Blackwell, TX), 28-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Winters upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Blizzards travel to Lueders-Avoca (Avoca, TX) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, December 3. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Lueders-Avoca lost 71-18 in their recent non-league bout against Eula (Clyde, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Eula Pirates (Clyde, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 4. Blackwell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 57-23 non-league win over Winters (Winters, TX).
