The Veritas Classical Academy Lions basketball team (Beaumont, TX), was nudged 51-46 in Friday's non-league battle with the host High Island Cardinals (High Island, TX)

The Cardinals now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sabine Pass for a non-league battle on Friday, December 2. High Island will battle a Sharks team coming off a 62-50 non-league win over Waelder (Waelder, TX). The Sharks record now stands at 4-4.
