Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Wissahickon knocked off by Downingtown West
December 2, 2023: Ambler, PA 19002 The Downingtown West Whippets basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Wissahickon Trojans to 30 in the Whippets non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Whippets now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bayard Rustin for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 5. Downingtown West will battle a Golden Knights team coming off a 77-41 non-league win over Collegium Charter (Exton, PA). The Golden Knights record now stands at 1-0.
The Trojans (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hatboro-Horsham (Horsham, PA). The Hatters enter the Suburban One - American contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Hatboro-Horsham ran past Paul Robeson (Philadelphia, PA), 46-43, in a non-league contest.
