Eastern Eagles (Beaver, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Piketon Redstreaks (Piketon, OH), 58-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eastern upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles host Waverly (Waverly, OH) to play the Tigers in a Southern Ohio II bout on Friday, December 8. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-0. Waverly won 55-41 in their recent non-league bout against Amanda-Clearcreek (Amanda, OH)

Next up, the Redstreaks play the Adena Warriors (Frankfort, OH) in a Scioto Valley bout, on Saturday, December 9. Piketon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
