New Mexico High School Basketball - Volcano Vista tops Sandia
December 2, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87114 Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), 61-42 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Volcano Vista upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Matadors play the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Sandia will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 72-20 non-league win over Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM).
