Georgia High School Basketball - Northgate can't hold off Central
December 4, 2021: Carrollton, GA 30116 The Central Lions basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Northgate Vikings to 52 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwest Whitfield for a AAAA Region 7 contest on Tuesday, December 7. Central will battle a Bruins team coming off a 50-35 non-league win over Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA). The Bruins record now stands at 5-0.
The Vikings (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Griffin (Griffin, GA). The Bears enter the AAAAA Region 2 contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Griffin nudged Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA), 76-52, in a league contest.
