Oregon High School Basketball - Neah-Kah-Nie crushes Vernonia
December 4, 2023: Vernonia, OR 97064 Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates (Rockaway Beach, OR) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Vernonia Loggers (Vernonia, OR), 57-35 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Neah-Kah-Nie upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Pirates host Taft (Lincoln City, OR) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Taft won 54-39 in their recent non-league bout against Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR)
Next up, the Loggers play the Catlin Gabel Eagles (Portland, OR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Vernonia will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 68-30 non-league win over Rainier (Rainier, OR).
