The Jordan-Matthews Jets basketball team (Siler City, NC), was nudged 53-51 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cummings Cavaliers (Burlington, NC)

The Cavaliers now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Granville for a non-league battle on Wednesday, December 6. Cummings will battle a Vikings team coming off a 70-45 league win over Vance County (Henderson, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-0.

The Jets (3-3) will now prepare for their battle against Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC). The Bears come into the 1A/2A Mid-Carolina battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Chatham Central edged Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC), 69-64, in a league battle.
