Illinois High School Basketball - Fieldcrest tops Putnam County
December 5, 2023: Granville, IL 61326 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) and the host Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), saw Fieldcrest's basketball squad knock off Putnam County by a tally of 64-52.
With the victory, Fieldcrest improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. LaSalle-Peru won 67-63 in their recent non-league challenge against Marquette (Ottawa, IL)
Next up, the Panthers play the Somonauk Bobcats (Somonauk, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Putnam County will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record.
