Minnesota High School Basketball - Willmar overwhelmed by Marshall
December 5, 2023: Willmar, MN 56201 The Marshall Tigers basketball team scored 85 points and restricted the host Willmar Cardinals to 50 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Worthington for a AAA Section 2 contest on Friday, December 8. Marshall will battle a Trojans team coming off a 78-57 non-league win over Southwest Minnesota Christian (Edgerton, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 2-0.
The Cardinals (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN). The Storm come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Sauk Rapids-Rice triumphed over Little Falls (Little Falls, MN), 95-46, in a non-league contest.
