December 5, 2023: Wadesboro, NC 28170 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) and the host Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), saw North Stanly's basketball squad hold off Anson by a tally of 26-25.
With the victory, North Stanly improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Comets host South Davidson (Denton, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-5. South Davidson lost 63-38 in their recent non-league challenge against Southwestern Randolph (Asheboro, NC)
Next up, the Bearcats play the Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. Anson will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record.
