North Carolina High School Basketball - Ashbrook holds off East Gaston

December 5, 2023: Gastonia, NC 28054

Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC) and the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), saw Ashbrook's basketball squad hold off East Gaston by a tally of 44-38.

With the victory, Ashbrook improves its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Greenwave travel to East Lincoln (Denver, NC) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 4-0. East Lincoln won 37-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC)

Next up, the Warriors confront the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. East Gaston will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 43-26 non-league win over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC).
