Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) and the visiting Coventry Comets (Akron, OH), saw Springfield's basketball squad hold off Coventry by a count of 49-45.

With the victory, Springfield upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Woodridge (Peninsula, OH) to play the Bulldogs in a Metro challenge on Friday, December 9.
